Inspire is an online course for northern and native entrepreneurs in Canada.
Inspire is an online course for young native and northern entrepreneurs by Small Economy Works. Studio Canek was hired to create Articulate Storyline modules for the course. We built slides that incorporated northern imagery, ways of living and pedagogy, including land-based learning. They were created after extensive research, including several focus group sessions with native, northern learners.
Storytelling
A template for short character-based stories to introduce the theme of each module.
Community resources
This activity uses a 3D panorama and hotspots to aid learners in identifying valuable resources -- both tangible and intangible -- in their community.
Discovery questions
Each module begins with a short quiz that demonstrates to learners what they already know and what they will be learning. Migrating geese show progression through the quiz.
We also created humourous animations for each module that draw entrepreneurial lessons from native and northern experiences.
